An archaeological site is a place that shows signs of human activity from the past. A site might be very big (like a whole village!) or very small (like an area where someone once built a single fire). Sites can show evidence of places where people lived, worked, made art, traveled, and so on. Archaeologists and their teams study archaeological sites to learn more about the people who left that evidence behind!
